The beneficiation method of tin ore is determined by its own characteristics.
Since the density of cassiterite is higher than that of symbiotic minerals, the traditional beneficiation process for tin ore is gravity beneficiation. As time went by, the particle size of cassiterite in the selected ore continued to become finer, thus the cassiterite flotation process emerged. In addition, since tin minerals often contain various iron oxide minerals, such as magnetite, hematite and limonite, these minerals cannot be well separated from cassiterite by flotation and gravity separation. Therefore, in recent years, Later, magnetic separation operations appeared in the tin ore beneficiation process.
At present, most Yunnan tin companies have followed the float gravity beneficiation process that has been used in the sulfide ore workshop of Datun Processing Plant for many years. The process is: crush the raw ore, grind the ore in a closed circuit to .
